Netflix drops House of Cards

The political drama House of Cards which has amassed an enourmous following over the years has suddenly been dropped by Net Flix.
The sixth season of House of Cards will be its last after Netflix confirmed the hit show is to end amid the furore around one of it’s star actors.
The sixth and final season will air in 2018, it is unconfirmed whether or not the final season will wrap up the story line or end abruptly. Insiders say no further filming is likely, indicating that the season will end abruptly without closing the story line.
TVLine reports that the decision to cancel the show was made several months ago, however. Contrary to some press releases.
Netflix and Media Rights Capital, which produces the series, released a joint statement on Monday regarding one of the show’s actors.
“Media Rights Capital and Netflix are deeply troubled by last night’s news concerning ***** ******.” the statement reads. (Al-Sahawat Times’s code of ethics prohibits publication of names in these circumstances).
“In response to last night’s revelations, executives from both of our companies arrived in Baltimore this afternoon to meet with our cast and crew to ensure that they continue to feel safe and supported. As previously scheduled, ***** ****** is not working on set at this time.”
