Presidential biographer and former politician Onukaba has been killed in a robbery in Nigeria
Adinoyi Ojo Onukaba, the biographer to former President of Nigeria, Obasanjo and a former governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State, Nigeria has been killed in a car accident. Onukaba was pronounced dead following an accident on the Akure-Abuja express road on Sunday night.
Onukaba was returning from the 80th Birthday of Former President Olusegun Obasanjo for whom he was the biographer when the fatal accident occurred.
According to local media Onukaba was ambushed by armed men on the Akure-Abuja expressway, evasive driving then lead to his vehicle somersaulting multiple times.
“He was trying to escaped from some armed robbers on the Akure express-road when his vehicle ran into a wide ditch, somersaulting and he died instantly.” Sahara Reporters said
Family members have been informed.

Onukaba apart from being a politician and seasoned journalist was the biographer to former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
Onukaba was the last Managing Director of Daily Times of Nigeria under President Obasanjo before the state run newspaper was controversially sold to private investors.
Born 9, March, 1960, in Oboroke-Ihima, Okehi LGA of Kogi State, Nigeria to Mallam Shuaibu Onukaba and Hajia Aisha Onukaba, Onukaba was a much loved and highly respected political journalist.
The incident has raised nationwide concerns over the rate of violent crime in Nigeria with mounting pressure on the authorities to act.
